Why we ran the test this way

To isolate app behavior, we held the diet constant. Same meals, same times, same total calories across all 11 apps. The only variable was which app testers used. Compliance differences across apps reflect what the apps did to or for adherence.
How we tested
Six testers per app, 30 days each. 1,950-cal/day diet, 35/35/30 macro split. Same meal plan replicated across all 11 apps. We measured compliance, average log time, accuracy on weighed reference meals (240 total), and weekly fatigue scores.
